No time to nourish yourself? Why is it a priority?

The women I work with are thoughtful, capable, and caring.
This means they are prone to neglecting their own health. But that doesn't make sense.
In my coaching practice, I have noticed that women are tempted to think it is self-indulgent to consider what they need to thrive.
This misconception often presents itself in their food habits.
They forget that food was intended to be a comfort - a nourishing pleasure.
It has either become another area where they have to exercise discipline, or they turn to food to solve the lack of pleasure they are experiencing in their lives.
They do not lack self-control, but they have forgotten how to nourish themselves and make their health a priority.
Nourishment simply means providing your body with the food it needs to live and thrive. But that is not all we need to flourish. We need to build a habit of tending to our souls.
